How the hell does a golfer get knee injuries anyway?. Next we will find out Tiger is on steroids and HGH.

You've seen Tiger swing, right? He puts an incredible amount of stress and force on his left leg/knee. His swing speed has been clocked at 128 MPH.
I actually knew someone in high school that broke his arm teeing off. Granted, his form was terrible.

i know alot of people that have to have knee surgery, that arent athletic at all
its just the human body.. the way you walk, the way you sit, the way you age..
and as mentioned, he swings the hell out of it.. and works out religously.. a treadmill is hell on the body, not to mention the weights

I'm not sure how much it affected him during the Masters, I mean its arthroscopic surgery. Not a walk in the park, but relatively minor as well.

Still, to walk 72 holes is not like a walk in the park. Unless it's Central Park, but even then, it's walking around the perimeter almost 3 times.

odds are, the problem has been there awhile and he has been waiting for the right timing where it didnt affect any majors or other tourney's he felt were important. in which case, he may have won some of those tourney's while dealing with it..
that said.. at any given time, alot of those guys probably need some kindof minor arthroscopic surgery to clean things up.

Yep. I'm 37 and I have problems with my right knee and I'm a far cry from being athletic. Developing knee problems in your 30s is pretty common.
Plus people forget just how much pro golfers walk. Then add all that swing stress.

Now this is the curious part to me. You'd think if it was an existing problem, he would have had the surgery 4 or 5 months ago.
