Orson Welles' "The Trial" - Alpha Video - is it any good?
I'm thinking I probably know the answer to this, but does anyone know if the Alpha Video DVD of The Trial is any good? Based on previous posts and DVDBeaver, it seems like for Region 0/1, the Image release is the way to go, but since it's not anamorphic, and costs about $20 more, I was wondering if maybe there's the off chance that I should go for the Alpha Video version. I'd guess it's probably closer to the Focus release in terms of video quality, but I though I'd see if anyone here knows first-hand.

Haven't seen it, but the few reviews of the Alpha Video version on Amazon.com seem to suggest what one might expect from a company specializing in "public domain" releases... "watchable", yet highly substandard quality.
Overall, the old TV show DVDs I've bought from Alpha aren't too awfully bad, considering the existing film elements floating around out there of kinescoped shows.
