"Secret Talents of the Stars" Pulled After One Episode
Didn't see it, but I guess I wasn't the only one.
CBS' `Secret Talents of the Stars' is gone after only 1 episode
NEW YORK (AP) -- The secret talents of celebrities will remain hidden. CBS is axing its new reality show "Secret Talents of the Stars" after only one episode.
The first airing Wednesday had former "Star Trek" actor George Takei singing "On the Road Again." Only 4.6 million people tuned in -- and thousands tuned away as the hour continued.
The reality show also had Clint Black doing standup comedy and Mya tap-dancing. Danny Bonaduce is among the celebrities whose secret talents will be kept to himself.
CBS officials say news programming is expected as a temporary replacement.

Just read this on Yahoo. I tuned in for a few mins, just to see Ric Flair, but noticed he wasn't going to be on that episode. Is news programming really going to get better ratings though?

The CBS Tuesday at 10/9C timeslot strikes again. CBS needs to put an established show like Criminal Minds in that slot because every new show they put there dies. Well, Cane technically wasn't cancelled, but I think that's only because of the strike.

And Mya was pretty good... but after that I turned it off.
I went upstairs and got online and went to see the other talents.
Pretty "meh"... no loss with it being gone.

I tune in expecting to see Ric Flair and tuned out after the Sasha Cohen act. Damn, is she a flexible cutie or what! Seriously, she is really cute, but the show sucked completely. It reminded me of Circus of the Stars. The shows failure will be the begining of the Jericho curse.

Apparently no one at CBS saw the ads. I knew it was worthless 5 seconds into the first commercial I ever saw for the show.

I'm surprised the show didn't do better ratings like Dancing with the Stars.

CBS is really clueless.
This is defintely an 8pm show.
They clearly have lost there way.
Too many CSI's and procedurals, minimal risk taking and they wonder why they are fading. This was the same gameplan that did in NBC during the latter years of Friends.
When Peterson leaves CSI, it will really be over for CBS, they have virtually no "buzz" shows in the pipeline.

No More Talents. CBS has yanked Secret Talents of the Stars after a single, painfully low-rated telecast on Tuesday night. 48 Hours Mystery will be in its slot for the next two weeks. Beginning April 29, its Tuesday lineup will include NCIS, The Unit and Shark.
Shark and NCIS have new episodes. The Unit will air reruns; a CBS rep said the show did not go back into production after the writers strike. No official word yet on its fate for next season.

Damnit, The Unit better come back. It's the only show I watch on CBS.

What exactly is it that CBS will learn from this? More cheap reality programming with content that is slightly more appealing to a mainstream audience?
Not to start a fight, but you would need to look at Jericho's premier, or look at a forecast of what this program would have had in the future.
Anyway, it is my hope that all reality shows fail, but I know that people will flock to the next gameshow or other crap.

I'm more worried about Shark now taking over this timeslot. It's been off the air for a long time and I'm concerned alot of it's viewers may not know when it's coming back and it doesn't help that it's getting this lousy timeslot that apparently noone in America watches.
Plus, it doesn't help that Shark has been on the bubble since it moved from Thursday to Sunday.
