Where to find The Coen Brothers DVDs cheap?

I just got done watching No Country for Old Men on Blu-Ray and thought it was a very good movie. After watching it, I googled to see what other movies the Coen Brothers directed. I have never seen any of their other works so I became very interested.

I was just curious if anyone has any insight on where I might be able to find the best deals on their DVDs. I noticed on DeepDiscountDVD they have a 5-movie collection (Fargo, Barton Fink, Raising Arizona, Millers Crossing & Blood Simple) for under $30. But I was wondering where I might be able to find their other works for cheap like:

- The Hudsucker Proxy
- The Big Lebowski
- O Brother, Where Art Thou?
- The Man Who Wasn't There
- Intolerable Cruelty
- The Ladykillers

Thanks alot for your guys help in advance!

Most of those DVDs you mentioned can be found for cheap at many e-tailers like amazon.com, dvdplanet or deepdiscount. Many Wal-Marts also have in their bargain bin Intolerable Cruelty. I have also seen them used at many Gamestops for $5 or less.

Although not one of their stronger efforts, Intolerable Cruelty is pretty cheap at DD as well.

You can get all 11 earlier films from the Coen Brothers for a mere $88.68 shipped from DD, if you include the 5 movie MGM set (Coen Brothers Movie Collection). ($8.06/movie)

Good deal for some great movies.

blood simple is in the box set

one of their greatest

if you don't own any of those it's one of the best dvd purchases you can make.

100% quality.

if you check http://dvdpricesearch.com and search for 'coen' under actor/director you'll find some good deals

my other three favorites of theirs are Miller's Crossing (my favorite movie of all time) Raising Arizona and Big Lebowski.

Completely agree! And I think Blood Simple is the film of their previous work that is most similar to No Country For Old Men in tone.

"not one of their stronger efforts" is very generous criticism.

Intolerable Cruelty is a complete waste of time and one of only two Coens movies (Ladykillers is the other) that is not a must-see. Those two coming back-to-back made me wonder if the Coens had hit the wall -- but then they came up with No Country, which might be the best of all of them.

"Must-see" and any movie with Nicholas Cage are mutually exclusive.

My ex-fiancée was a big Cage fan (although she would never say it.) Can you imagine how I suffered?

The original version of The Ladykillers, on the other hand, is enjoyable. Somewhat slow-paced (then again, a lot of movies from that time are), and more droll than laugh-out-loud funny, but it's always interesting to see Sir Alec Guiness in a movie without laser swords.

I need to watch that again soon (in my copious free time ).

I thought it was (just barely) redeemed by the clumsy demise of Wheezy Joe. After the lightweight screwball of the preceding hour, that brief nugget of morbid slapstick hit me like a pop of nitrous oxide.

I didn't realize how many movies the Coen Brothers did that I liked until I watched No Country For Old Men. I loved Fargo, O Brother Where Art Thou, The Ladykillers (yeah, I liked it a lot, thought it was hilarious), etc. but never realized they were all by the same guys.

But back to the OP...they are all relatively cheap by themselves. I think the highest I've seen one of their movies was like $15, which really isn't that bad, but I've found most of them (aside from No Country For Old Men) for $10 or less. Intolerable Cruelty was in the Wal-Mart $5 Bin.
