Already done! See Marvel Two-In-One #50 - April 1979 cover date. In it, the Thing travels back in time to cure himself of being the Thing, but it turns into a battle! One of my favorite comics of all time!

I thought we were about done with the clutter of these threads.

How about:

"The Thing vs. That Thing You Do"

"Wild Thing vs. The Thing"

"Do the Right Thing vs. The Thing"

"The Thing from Another World vs. The Thing" (which would be a legitimate discussion)

"The Sure Thing vs. The Thing"

"Swamp Thing vs. The Thing"

"The Thing with Two Heads vs. The Thing"

"A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum vs. The Thing"

Are we done yet?

That's actually what I thought this thread was about. I was looking forward to the discussion.

same here. I've only seen the remake. Is the original better or does the remake surpass it?

I voted for The Thing (1982), because the FF flix blow. But if you're talking about the FF comics, oh say, #1-275, I'd vote for ....wait for it...

...the Thing.

IMO, both The Thing (1982) and Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978) are the only two horror remakes that are actually better than their originals.

I've always loved that issue. A great story, and some great artwork. Wasn't that John Byrne and Joe Sinnott again?
