"DuckTales The Movie: Treasure Of The Lost Lamp" DVD available again
"DuckTales The Movie: Treasure Of The Lost Lamp" is available again at Disney Movie Rewards. I wasn't sure where to post this. I've checked the site almost every day for ...forever it seems and checked it today and there it was. Received email confirmation that it was going to be sent to me. Just thought I would let anyone else that has been wanting it know.

Why isn't this available in stores?
Can someone explain how to get this through the Rewards program? I think I have one or two DVDs that came with codes. What do I do - just set up an account, and enter them in? What if I don't have enough codes? Are there any strings attached to this program?

Set up the account and enter the codes. There are no strings attached to this, shipping is free. If you don't have enough codes, you can't redeem the item.
Ways to get free points include taking the survey once you sign up (100 points), and signing up for Pepsi My Stuff over at Pepsi's site, search for the Disney Rewards, choose that, which will give you a code for Disney Points (50 points or so).

Soo if we're not a Disney fan of anything other than the 90s cartoons (i.e. DuckTales, CHhip & Dale, etc.), is there any way to redeem "The Lost Lamp"? Are there codes with the DuckTales sets?

From what I have read, it's a Disney DVD movie club exclusive. You join the club and it's an available selection. Members have exclusive access to selective titles that will never make their way onto retail shelves.
No idea whether there's a limited run. But it was supposedly only available through the Disney DVD club, and recently through their rewards points system. Readers, make corrections if needed.

You can routinely pick up DuckTales onk half.com for about $30. Nothing too outrageous. I got this through the rewards club about 3 weeks back. I too checked every day for months. I got lucky one afternoon when it popped up as available.

My mistake, it was from mycokerewards.com, but in any case:
I tried to search for it again, but realized it involves the purchase of Pirates of the Caribbean 3 (they gave you extra points even after redeeming the movie, which is why I remembered it as free). It's not there anymore though.

I was going to redeem for this around Christmas but was too slow and it went out of stock. I did NOT check every day for months, but on February 28th I just randomly thought about it and found it back in stock. I ordered it right away and they shipped it a week later. Pretty sure I checked the next day out of curiosity too and it was still available. So this seems to be coming and going. One problem is that the DVD cover sleeve was inserted badly and got bent up in one part. I rarely see that happen in stores so the quality control on the assembly line for this one might be a little lax. The eBay price for the DVD has been as low as $10 or $15 lately, but those are probably used copies.

Damn, I only have 390 points at the moment. I thought the promotion was ending in Feb. of this year, so I redeemed most of my points for huge ass posters. Ratatouille and Finding Nemo though, so they're pretty nice. But I'll probably have enough points later on, hopefully it's still available.

Thanks, OP! I'd never done the Rewards thing before, so I signed up, took the survey and gathered up all my Disney DVDs and BDs up. After going through them, I had exactly 25 points more than I needed.
Thanks again!
Thanks again!
