We want to see a lot of the attractions so 2-3 nights is probably not going to be enough, although, if there is a really great deal for 3 nights we would seriously consider that.
I have Hilton Honors Points but any decent hotel will do.
Do you know of any good deals on hotel rooms in Vegas?
Thanks In Advance

Vegas hotel prices are all over the map, from day to day. I would keep an eye on deals at Travelzoo and FW's travel forum where they have a thread dedicated to Vegas deals.

Where are you flying from? When do you plan to go?
If you are flying, and your airport has Southwest Airlines service, sometimes the package deals from www.swavacations.com can beat most separately priced packages.

We live near Philadelphia PA, and will probably go towards the end of 2008. I have seen some very inexpensive hotel rooms that are not all that great, however, I had no idea how much the airfare would be. I will have to keep on learning about how best to put a package together. Maybe Southwest is the way to go.

IMO, there are two good, reliable ways to get a deal on a hotel in vegas;
1) join the players club (free) at each hotel. Do it on line if you can. This will get you e-mails from the hotels.
2) check the vegas hotel deal at fatwallet.
Personally, I try to always bood from the hotel (not thru a 3rd party). Why? This gives you a much better chance of employing the "$20" trick to get an upgrade upon check in. However, I have seen some good deals thru Southwest airlines so I would check.
Next, I highly recommend booking a room early at a price you can live with. Rooms in vegas are like high risk stocks. Once day they are up, one day down, and one day not available at all. But book early and look at the cancellation policy. Most let you cancel up to 24 hours before check in with no penalty (but do look I have noticed some deals where you cannot cancel). But after booking, keep looking for a better deal. Then if you find it, cancel the first room and take the better one you found.
Also, consider making most of your trip (if not all) during the week. You often save a $100 or more per night by booking Sunday-Thursday. For example I just got an e-mail from NYNY for $80 per night on a Sunday, Monday, Tuesday.

I did the Players Club thing, get emails all the time for hotel deals. Used a great code for cheap rooms at MGM in October of last year.

I booked a good package deal through usairwaysvacations.com - much better than similar packages through orbitz, etc...
Also - now that there are so many new condos on the strip, if you don't mind not staying at a casino, check some of the places like vrbo.com where folks list their personal properties for rent.
