this is a crazy good deal, I just got it in email. I wish I had more CD's that I wanted, but I guess it will save me some cash-money.

Are their in-store prices the same as the on-line, non-member prices?

B&N in-store prices are usually MSRP, same as Borders.

They are MSRP, but this coupon stacks on top of sale prices, so their are some good deals to be had.

I didn't find much to write home about (errrr....write DVDTalk about).
There were a few $11.99 new releases that come to about $8.30 (I don't have a membership).
There were a few CDs that I was specifically looking for, and naturally those were $18 for a single CD.
The box sets were outrageously overpriced. There was someone there buying a very big stack of box sets (10-12), but honestly I don't think there were any great bargains to be had. Maybe I'm jaded because of the recent $8 BMG box set glitch.
There was a 3 for $20 Mastercard promotion going on, which would have been nice to stack with this coupon. The selection was very small - I couldn't find 3 I wanted.

Found some good deals. Prices are with membership but before tax:
The Reconteurs new cd - $8.63. B-52's Funplex - $7.01. New Panic at the Disco - $9.17. Pavement Wowee Zowee (2 disc) - $10.25. Hot Chip Made In The Dark - $8.09.
Even non-sale normal price of $18.99 works out to $10.25 with membership.
Too bad selection is not too great at my Barnes and Noble. Even though the coupon states in stock items only, they allowed me to use it on an order of 2 cd's that weren't in stock (The Monkees Head -$5.39 and More of the Monkees 2 disc deluxe, list $24.99, $13.49; free home delivery!).

Thanks for posting, everyone. I got the email yesterday but was holding off on going due to the nearest BN being about 25 miles/30 minutes away. With gas over $3/gal., have to consider that, too (along with the hour on the road). I was thinking that most in-store prices would be MSRP & figured that the bargains would be limited as a result, especially since I had just driven to the Best Buy across the street to pick up an order 2 days ago. Thanks to the posters for confirming the prices.
I was also afraid that the few newer CDs that would be really good buys would be gone, along with any box sets at good prices (sadly, I totally missed out on the BMG sale). If they allow customers to order from warehouse & ship to home (as one poster above did for 2 items), I'd risk driving over.
What I'd love to see is for BN to allow customers to order in-store at the online prices & do a ship-to-home order with the 40% off. I know they did that last year with the B1G1 sale. Now, those would be some real bargains. I'm thinking about calling them later today to check on stock availability for about 4 CDs...I might ask them if I can get the online prices by placing a STH order.

You can use their website to check in-store availability. It's not entirely accurate - slightly less up-to-date than Borders in-store checker, in my experience.

If it is less up-to-date than Borders' system, then it is worthless, as Borders' system is absolute shit. It doesn't update very quickly.
