Any *GOOD* wireless surround sound solutions?
I'm looking to upgrade my audio finally. I don't really care if it's 5.1, 6.1, or 7.1 at this point in time. I have money to do it right, but my girlfriend is really pushing for wireless speakers. I'm not afraid of running the wire, but I just wanted to ask so I can say I looked into it.

If you get that flat speaker wire for your surrounds (you should be able to hide the front wires and use something cheaper), go ahead and get 16 gauge, not 18 gauge like they say is suitable. Are you sure you can't use regular speaker wires?

IMHO people always seem to forget that without speaker cable, the speakers need some type of power. All the ones I have seen either take a large quantity of D-Cell batteries or the require an ac cord.
If you can't run speaker cable or don't want to see speaker cable how do you feel about a power cord, assuming that an outlet is near the speaker.
Includes sender, receiver with stand, two 2" sections of speaker wire, AC adapter and user manual

The Rocketfish set has a small amplifier (which has to be plugged in of course), to which both speakers have to be connected. So, you'd still have wires going around the back of the room and up to where the surround speakers are, just not from the surrounds to the receiver in front.

I have the Rocketfish setup and I think it works pretty well. The receiver and wires are behind my couch, so you can't really see them. I haven't noticed any sound quality differences, not that I have really high end gear or anything, though.

I have the same on 2 surround set ups in my house, and I agree. I haven't noticed any issues, and it sounds quite good.
