I don't believe there's any way of knowing whether you're one of the first 5,000. I'm guessing after sending the submission you either receive the GC within the two week time frame or you don't because I never received any sort of confirmation via email for my entry.


BTW, it's probably best to force a connection (phone line and broadband connections) so your entry is immediately sent:

TiVo Central ---> Messages & Settings ---> Settings ---> Phone & Network ---> Connect to the TiVo service now

Thanks for the heads up. My system last "phoned home" on Friday, but I din't have the GC offer under my Corolla X ad package in the first place, so I'm guessing that my last ad update was after the 5000 limit was reached for this week... particularly since I'm pretty certain that showcase ads come from the satellite itself, not from the phone connection.

I'm forcing a connection/download now just to be certain, but I'm guessing it'll be next week's ad cycle for me....

I credited mine to my account. I don't think there's any reason you can't use it for general Amazon merchandise.

I also received 2 working codes. Certainly can't complain!

My mom did receive an inactive first code- but a call to Amazon fixed that before the second batch of codes went out. She now has $5 to spend anywhere at Amazon, and $5.97 to spend at unbox, thanks to a friendly CSR.
