I was surprised to find five different 4-packs (in thin clear cases) of these art house (international) film collections for only $16.99 each (MSRP $29.99). All of the films appear to have won awards at various film festivals around the world. I know these movies are not as exciting as Spider-Man 3, but sometimes it is interesting to see something different about another culture. The five collections are as follows:

Documentary: Beyond the Call; Inlaws & Outlaws; Encounter Point; The Party's Over (Philip Seymour Hoffman).

Drama: Seize the Day (Robin Williams); Manito; Mrs. Palfrey at the Claremont; Game 6 (Michael Keaton).

Family: Viva Cuba; Expiration Date (2006); Saints and Soldiers; Mother of Mine.

Foreign: The Island (2006); The Bothersome Man; The Way I Spent the End of the World; Raja.

War and Conflict: Return to the Land of Wonders; About Baghdad; Hidden Wars of Desert Storm; Iraq in Fragments.

I was at Costco today and these film fest favorite compilations were almost sold out! There must be more interest in these movies than I originally thought.

OK, have any of you had any problems with your sets?

I just got back from Costco, where I purchase the Foreign set. Promptly I put in The Bothersome Man (which I loved when I saw it at a festival) and 23 seconds into it, it starts to skip and freeze. Anyone else have this problem? I'm wondering if it's a glitch on all copies or if I should just exchange mine. Thanks in advance.
