RAMBO: 2-disk Special Editon (5/27/08)

The new Rambo film will be released in 1-disk (WS),1-disk (FS), 2-disk Special edition DVD, and 1-disk Blu Ray on May 27, 2008.
Only confirmed feature on the 2-disk so far is a Digital Copy of the film.

"The next chapter finds Rambo recruited by missionaries to protect them during a humanitarian aid effort on behalf of the persecuted Karen people of Burma. After the missionaries are taken prisoner by Burmese soldiers, Rambo gets a second impossible job: rescue the missionaries in the midst of a civil war."

I'm sure Stallone will do a commentary.

If he only talks on the commentary whenever John Rambo doesn't speak in the movie, it'll be a very wordy commentary.

I'm in for the 2-disc unless I get a BR player between now and then.

Seeing as how I dont own any RAmbo films I'll definitely be buying the Box set of all of the previously available are in this set.
Hopefully it will feature the 4 disks that were in the box set of the special editions and the new 2-disk Rambo film.

Well, there is a Blu-Ray Collector set coming out on the same day but for some reason it only has the first three movies in it. The new one is not in the set and has to be purchased individually.

Why would this have a digital copy with it, only Fox does that not Lionsgate. No matter what I'm in for all four films on blu-ray. Any chance the first three will have more extras, the extras on the UE suck.

Nope, looks like Lion's Gate is going Digital Copy as well. Here's the cover of the new Rambo BD and it has the Digital Copy sticker on it.

I wonder what the extras will be for the 1st three films on this new release. The Lionsgate Ultimate Edition set was a piece of crap and was almost bare bones. A Stallone commentary on the 1st film and a few deleted scenes were hardly Ultimate.

The Artisan Trilogy set had some really good extras and unfortunately I missed out on that set before it went out of print.

You can still find it, it's out there.

Why won't they use the poster art for the cover?

I have the Artisan trilogy. But have to know the features on this first before I jump on it. The Stallone commentary on the 1st movie was pretty good. You can get it at your local Target for $5.50.
