Momentum (UK) released Total Recall in a steelbook.
Highlander: Immortal Edition by Optimum (UK) is also in steelbook. Apparently, the German release is also in a steelbook case.
Fox/MGM "Definitive Edition" series is entirely in steelbooks.

Do you mind me asking where you got it from and how much you paid? I would definitely have to make mine R1 too, and I don't want to pay tons just for a case.
Also, does the R1 disc match the R2 case/disc design?

That's so sexy. If I bought it I would really want my disc to match the case though, so I'd probably have to have a copy of that disc cover made to put on my R1 disc.
**They ruin the case by putting a age restriction sticker on it. The sticker wraps around the spine and onto the back cover.**
I will probably not purchase any more R4 Steelbooks because of the sticker and the Paramount Banner on the top of the case.

After studying the situation, I was able to remove the age restriction stickers. Both R4 cases have a matte finish and I was worried about scratching the cases.
I cut the sticker at the spine and I was able to remove it without leaving any sticky residue.

Hi Takeshi357, please feel free to post pictures your Taxi Driver covers.
I can take some photos later, but I picked up steelbooks for "Perfect Creature" (R2 Dutch) and "Evil Aliens" (R2 Germany) at exploitedcinema. The R2 UK steelbook of "Casshern" is mighty purty too.
Scanavo did a very nice job with the front and back covers. Under the right lighting, the front cover actually comes alive. They also did some nice artwork to the DVDs. The inside artwork did nothing for me. A bit on the bland side, actually.
Taking these photos were difficult as the outer display box has a mirror polished finish to it and will pick up any finger prints. If you will notice, I changed the position of the outer display case, to keep the image of the camara out of the reflection. I wore latex gloves to take these photos.
The package includes two booklets and one of the booklets, to my understanding, is the movie script. Both booklets are in Japanese.
This Steelbook is easily the crown of all of my import Steelbooks, weighing in at a a massive 0.586 Kg.

The Steelbooks were not damaged but the quality of the covers were, just down right bad. Not worthy to be on a Steelbook case.

I cancelled my order with dvdgo.com. As another collector stated on another Steelbook forum, they should change their name to dvdnogo.com.
I couldn't fax over the Credit card charge authorization document that they requested. I kept getting a busy signal from them and their E-mail reply is in broken english, so I am not sure what they are asking me

Hello kstublen,
Three of the Steelbooks are exclusive to the stores mentioned in the above post. To get the lowest price would mean buying directly from these vendors, unless you have a contact in Spain.

If they were all $20-$30, I'd just go ahead and get them all (maybe not the first one). But since it'll be like $50 for just one, I'm gonna go with the second one; the book is full of pictures from the movie, as well as production shots, so I think that'll be interesting to take a look at. My Spanish isn't fantastic, but I could probably get the gist of anything said in the art book as well. I really like the third cover art though; might pick 'em all up sooner or later.

it's not that they are that expensive. it is that they are expensive to us. the USD sucks compared to the Euro and GBP and therefore the price to us is much more than if we were native to Europe and then shipping from Spain and Germany is an arm and a leg and then the conversion rate again. it is just hard for the USA and CDN bc of the economies.

Yup, this is the same site that listed four (4) different Steelbooks when there is only three (3) available.
The Steelbook is the same as the Special Edition version. Outer display case # 2236/4000
The difference with the Limited Edition, you get the outer display box, Bloodpack slip cover (fits over the Steelbook), exclusive poster and three tooth in a bag.

Kill Bill V1 R2 NL
Kill Bill V2 R2 NL
Hannibal Risng R2 NL
Numerous online stores and eBay sellers from Europe, are passing off the above titles as Steelbooks. There are in fact metalpaks.

does anyone have this edition?
Hello Ram,
It is not neccessary for you to post your request in three different threads. Your first post in the DVD Exchange section was sufficient.
This is a must have for any John Woo or Chow Yun-Fat fans. :johnwoo2:

Hi howwon, This was not a request! I was just asking people if they had that edition!
You should really post pics of all your collection!

Dang, I am tempted by that, especially because it's pretty cheap at amazon.co.uk right now. However, it's probably my least favorite of John Woo's Hong Kong movies, so I'm torn.
