why don't you request one from Microsoft?
They are free and it takes less than a week for delivery.

Because I need 1 before the end of this week when I am supposed to ship out my old XBOX to its new owner. I was hoping someone may have one just laying around and could ship USPS PM to me today/tomorrow.

And I don't see how MS could get me one in a week since I have to mail the actual form to them (probably at least 2 days to get there) and then process the thing and send it out to me.

Hoping someone can come through for me.

Greg

Would've sold you mine if I'd seen this before today.

I know it's too late but you can fax your form, that's what I did and I received my HDD data transfer kit in one week.
Also, what I did was to buy a used hard drive from EBGames, it was $60. You can find them for $50 in Craigslist but I wasn't lucky that week. So I put that used drive in my old xbox and just kept my original hard drive until I received my data transfer kit. When I was done I just sold it in Craigslist.

Sorry for this question, but...

What is a data transfer cable/kit? Are you trying to move things from one HD to another? Why not use a memory card?

You could go buy a new 120GB HDD, use the cable and then return the whole set back....
