Help ID a song - no lyrics

I have a part of a song stuck in my head and its driving me nuts. I can't think of any of the lyrics to the song. It may be a rap song, not sure.

The best I can describe it is that it has a repeating 'watery' guitar sound to it. The guitar almost sounds like the Beck song F'in with my head. The sound is really effects laden, rwawang type of sound to it.

Sorry I can't be more descriptive.

Is it a new song? How long has it been out? That might help.

It was really only one part of the song I had stuck in my head. Now I can't even really remember how it goes, which in itself is driving me nuts. It was kind of a warbally kind of sound, but I can't remember.

Where did you hear it? If it was on the radio, call the DJ. If it was elsewhere, you could always record it and post an .mp3 of yourself humming a few seconds of the song.

This reminds me of when I worked at a music store and people would come in and say "Do you know that song, um I don't know any lyrics and I can't remember how it goes..like Da na na?"

I was at lunch last week and the opening riff for this song played on the PA and a coworker commented that he liked the song. Well it went into another song and I recognized it as "Hippy Chick" only because someone in our college dorm was pissed that they used this sample from the Smiths.

At least they don't write it on a piece of paper and show it to you.

Even better when you work at a video store and people ask, "Do you have that one movie, with that one guy, that came out last year?"
