14.99 PV HD-DVD at Hollywood Video
Just a heads up since HD-DVD is now a dead format Hollywood Video are switching to only Bluray. In the next few days the rental copies of HD-DVD movies should be priced at 14.99. This is a good deal if you already have a HD-DVD because many popular titles like Transformers and V for Vendetta along with new movies are for sale. I know some stores have recieved shipments of HD-DVD movies for release next week and those should also be marked to $14.99 so get there early.
Hope this information helps some of you.

Being discussed in the HD Talk forum, but I picked up 10 titles today, including the yet to be "released" The Brave One. Was hoping to grab Jesse James but no luck. Grabbed American Gangster though

The store near me in Reston, Va, said the sale doesn't start until Sunday. Their HD-DVDs had all been removed from the shelves in preparation for the sale, the clerk told me.

(2 stores around Minneapolis) I had no luck on getting 2 for 20, the clerks were not going to budge. One store had a patron being the aggressive with the clerk and it was ridiculous. Yeah it would be nice to get two for 20, but 14.99 a piece is better then 24.99 each for American Gangster and The Brave One.

Does it automatically ring up 2/20 or is there an override? When I asked about the price, they said "14.99" I asked if they were 2/20 and the clerk said "No" but he didn't seem very sure. I hated to be a jackass and have them ring them up after I asked. When I asked about HD-DVDs for sale they specifically mentioned American Gangster wasn't an option.

Of the three stores near me, one has never carrried high definition, the second has pulled the movies but has no official word on the sale and the third has them for $14.99 or 2/$20. I got American Gangster and the 5-disc set of Blade Runner, among others. The clerk told me that the latest releases would be added soon.

Since some people have reported The Brave One on sale, I decided to call mine. It was checked out but once it gets back in, they're selling it so guess I'll have to keep checking back...

After she rang up my (10) selections she scanned something ten times. The receipt has the 10 movies listed followed by "2 for $20 - $14.99 or less" 10 times. It's a shame the 3/$20 isn't going on right now.

there is a coupon on cellfire for b1g1 used video for hollywood video. I heard about it on the news. I don't think many people know about it, so they might just look at you weird. I tried to enter my sprint number and it won't accept it.

Hey everyone. thanks for informing me on this deal. I also picked up 6.
The Invasion
Eastern Promises
The Brave One
The Reaping
The Good Shepherd
Blade Runner 5 disc.
I really wanted to pick up Elizabeth the golden age but was told that it sold earlier. Also American Gangster was rented and Michael Clayton but they haven't gotten it yet.
For those in Philly. Port richmond has the deal and an ok selection
10th and Washington is ghetto and don't know what an HD is
20th and Hamilton no deal no HDs for sale only rental. hopefully it changes soon. I'm going to try tomorrow by calling.
Man I really wanted to pick up Elizabeth the Golden age. if anyone gets an extra copy let me know. I'll send paypal.
