Three classic action stars known for their physiques in their prime
In which movies did each look their best ?
For me i reckon
Stallone - Rocky 3
Arnold - Predator
Van Damme - Bloodsport

Stallone - Rambo 2 or Rocky 4 (both came out in 85' I think). He was bigger in Rambo 3 though...
Arnold - Predator... yeah I'd go with this one. This is before he started to look "old" imo.

It's funny these three names pop up... I was watching The Bourne Ultimatum last night, and commented to a friend that back in the 80's, the big action movie stars were big guys with ripped bodies like Stallone and Schwarzenegger and VanDamme... and the big 21st century action stars are people like... Matt Damon!

Arnold
Predator? No way.
If you're talking all movies, "Pumping Iron" is obviously the winner, and Hercules in NY.
However if you're talking more mainstream movies then Terminator 1 is the winner IMO.
225 lbs, 8 lbs bodyfat:
He stills look good in Predator... but he looks better in Commando and Red Heat as well.
But T1 really is the winner.

I was read somewhere that Arnold actually dropped some pounds to get the leaner Special Forces type look in Predator. I would definitely say Predator, in Commando he was just muscles.

225 lbs with 8lbs bodyfat would put him at around 3.6% bodyfat percentage, which is modern bodybuilding stage ready. I think you meant 225 lbs and 8% bodyfat?

I'm going to say Commando. Arnold was a monster in that flick.
Van Damme? Bloodsport, maybe? I haven't seen enough of his films to give a proper critique.
Seagal? Haven't seen any of his flicks all the way through. Still proud of that fact, btw.

Arnold looked healthiest in Predator (circa 1986-87). He was still jacked out of his mind in Conan and The Terminator, leaner in Commando. However, by Red Heat (year after Predator) he looks too ripped again.
Stallone was probably fittest around Rocky II or First Blood.

I'd agree with Rocky 3 for Sly and Predator for Arnold with T2 being a close 2nd. I love Terminator and Arnold's earlier flicks as well, but he was too buffed up for my tastes.

Just watched Total Recall again last night, and Arnie was still pretty damn buff in it, too.

Arnold-Conan
Stallone-Rocky 4 - he is extremely cut in this movie.
JCVD: Pretty similiar in most of his films. I'll pick Kickboxer just because he is obviously in much better shape than Tong-po. Kinda funny actually.
