Thanks for starting this post. Would have never known it was on tonight. Shows like this were made for a DVR. I'll FF through most of it and hopefully enjoy a couple of performances.

Kanye's was the best performance I've ever seen on the Grammys. Daft Punk! and then Hey Mama made me tear up.

Fucking Arcade Fire lost

While "Mama" was heartfelt, I still don't get this Daft Punk mashup at all. It's cool to see them get some recognizition, but the whole song and live performance would be more enjoyable just seeing them do their own thing. (Yeah, I think Kanye is way overrated).

One of the awards already presented was Best Rock Instrumental. Bruce Springsteen beat out... Metallica, Joe Satriani, Rush and Steve Vai.

WTF?

Damn. I was looking forward to it but didn't think it would happen til the end of the show. I'll have to Youtube it tomorrow. At least I got to see Jason Batemen be very funny and Alicia Keyes/John Mayer being awesome.

Glad the Foo's and the Boss took home a few...but they've only done 6 fucking awards in 2.5 hours... and some of these performances are long and boring. Loved Kanye and Foo though.

Agreed, although that Rhapsody in Blue performance was amazing.

I'm glad she's looking better and that look on her face when she won record of the year was just great. I really hope she gets off all that shit she's been on.

did this start at 8 or 9? Did we really need the opera thing?

I did enjoy Fergie's performance of "Finally?

WTF?
Of course, the Grammys have always been a celebration of the mediocre.

After hearing both, I thought Kanye's sample was far better then the Daft Punk original, but that's just me

Just starting here on the west coast; Carrie Underwood's legs looked nice.

Reading the winners, i'm surprised Winehouse won, but then again I don't get the appeal and thought her song was terrible.
