Man, at first I thought it was 15.99 for both. I was going to pull the trigger on that since I've been thinking of buying them at DD. Too bad. I'll probably just get Season 1 at DD and make sure I like the show since I've never seen it.

In OP's defense, this is terribly misleading on Amazon. This is what they show:
"Dead Like Me--Seasons One and Two
List Price: $39.98
Yesterday's Price: $27.99
Today's Discount: - $12.00
Gold Box Price: $15.99 (60% off)
Now is your chance to own one of the most unique programs on TV at 60% off today only. We have seasons one and two in this special deal, so you won't miss a thing."
Gut reaction is certainly that it would be $15.99 total for both. But unless Amazon changes the deal, it is not.

Incredible series, followed it from the very beginning. It's really disappointing it canned so early.
Has anyone heard anything new about the straight to DVD wrap-up that they were supposedly making?

Wow. That is misleading. I forwarded the Lightning Deal to a couple of friends thinking it was $16 for BOTH. Whew. I don't feel so bad for paying $20 and $17.50 for the seasons in just the past couple of months. Really cool show and a sad moment when we finished the last episode since there'd be no more.
As for the movie - I hadn't heard that it was going to be DTV, but the IMDB page for it reveals some interesting and worrisome details. Rube is out, replaced by the actor who plays Desmond on Lost. OK, but WTF is up with them recasting Daisy with Sarah Wynter who coincidentally played the sister of the Laura Harris character in the 2nd season of 24. It would've been better to come up with a new reaper instead of recasting. Still, I'm in.
