Roswell - Gets Repackaging
Anyone that doesn't know they are repackaging all three seasons of Roswell and putting Katherine Heigl on each cover because she is such a hit now with Grey's. The link is here

Looks to be only repackaging of each individual season highlighting Katherine Heigel vs. a complete series set.
The marketing department strikes again! Reminds me of the movie Flirting with Noah Taylor and Thandie Newton. They're the leads and Nicole Kidman has 5 minutes worth of screen time (it may be more....) but my point being, she's prominent on the cover. Noah isn't on the cover at all.
I understand marketing and capitalizing on star power, but that is hilarious!

I wonder if they'll use the double-disk slim cases....at any rate, a friend would love these for her birthday on April 30th. I will wait for the new packaging (and maybe double-disk slim cases) as I doubt the existing sets will drop further in price.

hmmm... looks like Best Buy is going to have a "Complete Series" exclusive.
image indicates its not just a packaging of all three box sets together. they're using the s2 repackaging in a different color scheme and you can clearly see "the complete series" written underneath.
doesn't mention anything about exclusive bonus discs or whatnot, which makes me glad. won't have to worry about another "complete series" double-dip in the future? plus, the new box artwork is a downgrade.

Keep in mind that's the MSRP. In other words, FOX lowered it by 20.00 per season.
That means when they do their inevitable sales the ROSWELL sets will likely go as low as 14.99, etc.
That said, I got the first 3 seasons at around that rate...
The absence of Shiri Appleby on the 2nd season is just laughable. Katherine Heigl is easily the 3rd or 4th most important character on the show and to package it implying she's the lead is just ridiculous.
