Last night i was at walmart looking at the dvds and decided to pick up "The New Adventures of Old Christine - the complete first season" the price tag was marked $24.99, but when i was looking at my receipt i noticed it was $5.00 i don't know how or why, but i'm not complaining, especially since it was a blind buy.

YMMV, bogus or dead for me. Thanks anyway.

Probably a case of someone saying they found it in the $5 bin and instead of the cashier overriding the price they adjusted the store's price.

I checked 3 stores this afternoon, $24.xx at each store. It was probably just a store error, thanks anyway OP.

In alot of cases if the override price is greater than say $15-$20 they make a manager come to approve it. I would imagine if that was the case then between the cashier and manager it would of been caught being that low.

How many discs is it? IIRC, the show began at mid-season although I don't recall how many episodes aired (Jan - May(?)). I don't see how it could be priced at $25 if there were only a handful of episodes, 6 or 10 or 13 in this first "season". $5 would still be a good deal though. I'd expect it to be priced <$15.
