My friend is gonna love this. I'll probably pick it up too. I'd like to start buying the sets. They're just a bit too much money for me. I wish I could find them at like $25.

I've long had the original I found for $10 right as it went OOP, but I'll gladly upgrade for 16x9.

It was a Tuesday last year, someone might have their old calender still up.

Definitely. I was really hoping they would put the deleted scenes on there, but I guess the movie is all we get. Glad to finally have it anamorphic at least.

The $20 MSRP is a joke though. Universal wants to charge that and they can't even put the deleted stuff in there.

Did the original have an insert? If this doesn't and the old one does, I expect the price of the insert to quadruple on eBay.
At least I can get rid of my vhs copy now.

Yeah, if only this disc had the deleted scenes I'd have zero complaints. I just wish studios would, as a matter of faith, include any material they already have on DVDs just to be nice.

Cool news, I can finally retire my laserdisc. Too bad about the lack of extras, but anamorphic will be nice to finally have.

I just pulled this DVD out tonight to take a screen cap for my blog. I ended up getting caught up in the movie and forgot about the work I was doing for a bit. Shame the new DVD will have no good extras.
