Less titles than usual. They never seem to have Transformers, Serenity, V For Vendetta, or 12 Monkeys as part of any sale.

After seeing the selection for BR I guess I'm in no hurry to go purple. I was only interested in Lost Season 3 and maybe The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy.

12 Monkeys was part of a B1G1 sale about a month ago. I picked it up with The Game for $20. Serenity and V for Vendetta were also part of previous sales.

Serenity has been on almost all the sales, this one blows though.

It would be nice for them to change it up.

More than anything, I think the type of sale and the titles HD DVDs have on sale as the reason why they are not picking up on sales vs. BR. If they come out with a B1G1 on all titles, or a $10/$12 per title for all or at least their good titles, then we'll quickly see how good sales can be for HD DVDs. It will put to rest thoughts of HD DVD sales going down. I know lots of us would want to support more HD DVDs, but they'll have to make it better than this!

Fuckin' retarded. Obviously, Warner Brothers and maybe others are purposely holding back titles for HD DVD owners.

Since it is a selective "dramatic" sale only, not surprising really.

Hardly worth worrying about this time round. Either there will be another B1G1 sale or the prices will have to come down a bit further before I venture into purchasing mode for a while.

.....and other titles have just gone back up in price.

Good thing I pulled the trigger on Top Gun and Field of Dreams HD DVDs yesterday when they were still $14.99.

Crap being the operative word. I don't know why I keep clicking on these sales expecting to find anything. It's always catalog titles that should retail for no more than $10 to begin with.

Oh well. Here's hoping the next sale I click on has something worthwhile.

What crappy prices... O well, I guess I'll just have to keep making new GCO accounts and taking $10 off each HD-DVD I order.

Since the format is considered "dead" or dying by most people who frequent Amazon, this sale is a little too "opyimistic". Frankly, I'm staying away waiting for something closer to "Close-Out" prices...

I have to agree. I love my HD-DVD, but I'm not investing too much more in it. I have to admit that Blu Ray is going to win, although I have no intention of going Blu anytime soon...

yes, hopefully there will be a B1G1F coming up after this sale. I do have quite a few movies to watch from the last 2 sales and the Disney TRU sale so I don't mind waiting for cheaper prices. I mainly put this up for our fellow dvdtalkers that might have missed the last sales or have just upgraded to HD and want cheaper than BB or CC prices. Bring on the B1G1F!!
