Thanks for the post. It would figure though, the one season of Rockford that I need is the one that still costs over 30 bones.

Not really a deal for Friday Night Lights. It was $19.99 on release day, and I've seen it on sale for $14.99 or less around the holidays...

You'd have a hard time finding them now, but at one point I picked up both halves of the first season from the $5 Wal-mart display.

Again, that just confirms that it's not all that great a sales price.

You really need to get every season of the greatest show ever! However, out of the first three seasons, I would go with Season 3 by a hair over 2. Season 3 has one of the funniest episodes ever("The Oracle Wore a Cashmere Suit") as well as two great 2 parters("The Trees, the Bees and T.T. Flowers"/"To Protect and Serve"). It also contains a fourth season bonus episode("Quickie Nirvana") that is also hilarious. You really cannot go wrong with any season.

Since we don`t get much Rockford talk(I love the show) what season do you think it jumped the shark?

It never really did. Every season was solid and every season had high ratings. The only reason that the show ended was because Garner was starting to have physical problems(he did most of his own stunts) and didn't want to continue.

Yeah, he had to quit the show due to health reasons before it even had a chance to jump the shark. His quitting is why the final season (the 6th) of the show is actually only half-a-season long.

Thanks, but I'm actually leaning towards Season 2 because I found out that it has the show's original pilot as an extra. (Of course, that should've been on the Season 1 boxed set but wasn't for whatever reason.)

The Season One Rockford Files set I bought about 18 months ago was defective and had to be returned. It was a common problem where the disc would freeze at the layer change and affected 2 of my discs. These were dual layered flip discs and the widespread problem may have been solved with later pressings.

Nah. That was a holiday pricing. Circuit City has it on sale this week for $17.99 at their B&M.

Great site, thanks for posting! Do you have any idea where I could find cheap "Curb Your Enthusiasm" DVDs?

Anyone know if that's a permanent price for S2 or was it just a sale price last week?

Yes. At least that was the price at the Reston store yesterday.
