Seems like Lucas and Spielberg have the monopoly here. My pick seriously alternates all the time amongst the same 3 films. But since we can only list one, it is currently this:
Star Wars. Has always been since I saw it as a 5 year old kid in the theater in 1977, and never gets old even on my one zillionth viewing.

There have obviously been a lot of "favorite" film threads, but they all become lists of movies sometimes 10, 15 or 20 from people, and there is the argument of favorite versus best.
So my question is simple: Favorite Film.
The one you would be OK with watching over and over if you could never see another film. No lists, no 1A and 1B. You have to make the choice.
Was is your single, favorite film:
I'll start with one that likely will be on this list just once:
"Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House"
Remember, just ONE PICK.
I like that movie too, Grant was a great actor. But if you liked that you should really try The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer or my other Grant favorite, I Was A Male Warbride.
Perhaps a strange pick to some, but I can watch it over and over. That is my one pick, per the rules, but it was in a close race with "Last of the Mohicans". In the end, I had to give the edge to the one with such an astounding number of intriguing elements (sword fights, martial arts, mysterious monster, political intrigue, Monica Bellucci) that still manage to mostly coherently blend together. I'll round out an unasked-for top five most watched with "The Bourne Identity", "The Boxer", and "Serenity".
Has everything all in one package...epic spectacle, action, romance, suspense, sentiment...will never get tired of watching it.
