The Hire - Any chance they'll release them on DVD?

I know this is an old subject but I'd buy a DVD of those short films/commercials. Any chance BMW will do this? If not, is there any place I can download it (Quicktime or Real Player)?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe they were available when it was first released as a free promo you could send in for. They've been long OOP though.

I raised this about nearly 2years ago at the "OOP List Thread".

It seems that BMW did discontinued all of its availability (including the downloadable version from their site)

related DVDtalk thread talk The Hire: Recently OOP title

About a few weeks I posted it, and the response I garnered.. a string of "ebay listings" on it came effect and sells around $40 above...

Hmm speaking of the Hire.. looks like it would be "in demand" again? since Shoot Em was recently released showcasing Clive Owen in a BMW car (and its been years since we saw Clive Owen "In Action in a BMW car") .

I have the Hire DVD available for trade.
Don't watch it anymore.

Would trade for HD-DVDs.

About half of them were made available in high-def on a free Windows XP promo-CD.

I have 2 of the 3 versions that were released. They should at the very least put out an anamorphic version.

I picked up one of these "used" (sealed) at a local video store last year for $2. Made me happy.

And rather bizarrely, they can be found on the 2 disc 'Standing In The Shadows Of Motown' documentary release.

It was only season 2 included..

It was a joint promotional campaign by Microsoft, Artisan and BMW

There were multiple seasons?

I have the DVD that BMW was originally sending out (this may have been the "exclusive bonus" disc that started my obsession).

If I recall, some copies had all 8 (both seasons?), and some only had 7 due to a copyright or licensing issue.

There are quite a number of them on EBAY, I just bought one from the BMW CCA. Not sure if they still have any.

The original release was in a CD jewel case had all of the first season which included the one w/ Forrest Whittaker.

When it was rereleased in a cardboard case it was omitted. I can't recall why. Something to do with Whittaker.

The third and final release had both season 1 and 2 which included all the shorts. It was in a keepcase.

I had the original one, don't know where it went. IIRC there was one with Wong Kar Wai that wasn't included on that initial disc.

My favorite was the one with Gary Oldman.
