Looks a little rough .. but could be a lot of fun! Not for those stunt men though!! Ouch. Been looking forward to a release of this ever since I caught news on Twitch over a year ago.

Since Jaa isn't returning as fight choreographer, are any others of the original team that worked on Ong Bak?

Key words, "English subtitles"!!! That could be very welcoming news indeed. I'd hate to have to buy the first release as a 2 Disc (film split between) VCD without subs as with Ong Bak.

The VCD did have subs. The 1st DVD release did not. I'm referring to the HK releases.

Just finished watching this movie. Although the movie plot is average at best, it makes up for its phenomenal fighting sequences. However, the last fight sequence was "borrowed" from Kill Bill IMHO.
Nicharee “Jeeja” Vismistananda was great in her lead role and hopefully she'll star in more movies (you have to see the end to watch all of the pain she and the stunt men went through to film this movie).

Like all of the little nods to Tony Jaa throughout the movie.

I loved the first movie but the plot was almost non existent however, it was hundred times better than Raging Phoenix. I hated that movie.

I dunno. I like kung fu movies, I like Hong Kong cinema ... but the Thai stuff just doesn't do it for me, for some reason. It's missing something, to me. Atmosphere? Nostalgia? Kitsch? I dunno.

Solid Snake

I find her a lot more entertaining than Jaa. I can't stand the sound of his fucking voice. Also he holds NO screen presence at all. He can do a lot of cool stuff but lacks that presence.

Yanin is a lot more interesting. Cuz she's a girl and she's literally doing this. Also...she's a lot more convincing than Jaa could ever be.

Cellar Door

I watched Choclate via Netflix streaming a couple of weeks ago. Loved the fight sequences! Apparently (in addition to the Tony Jaa tributes) many of them were filmed as direct homages to scenes from Jackie Chan and Jet Li movies (Zen was originally seen watching them on TV as well as Jaa) and were sometimes move-for-move recreations of those fight scenes. They were originally going to be seen side-by-side on-screen with clips from the Chan and Li fights, but they couldn't get licensing rights to show those clips, and they had to re-edit those scenes.

I'll definitely check our Chocolate 2.
