American Pie/Wedding Bonus Disc Documentaries

Here's an Old question....Wondering if anyone can help answer this.

I came across this gift set at FYE today and decided to pick it up...

It includes a 3hour feature called "american pie revealed"

I always passed on the "beneath the crust" volumes that were bundles w/ American pie 1,2 and I think wedding back when.

So Now, Here's the question. Is the American Pie Revealed Doc included in the American Wedding Gift set the same as all the Beneath the crust docs?

Thanks

I think so also. They just split it up into 2 parts on Beneath The Crust Volume 1 & 2. Revealed is about 3 hrs.

The Beneath the Crust discs were only about 30 minutes each. They were just samplings of what was to come with this documentary.

The three hour documentary spends around a little bit over an hour on American Pie, around 50 minutes on American Pie 2 and American Wedding, and then 20 minutes on wrapping everything up.

While American Pie and American Wedding go actually in-depth into their respective productions, a majority of American Pie 2's time is spent on editing the film and all the footage they cut out.

That's a great documentary, too. I remember watching the whole thing in one sitting. Very interesting and entertaining.

It's too bad Universal couldn't be bothered to stick this in their Franchise Collection set, because it's the icing on the cake, such a great documentary. The only part that suffered a little was that cast-dinner at the end where Seann William Scott leaves after like 20 minutes and everyone just basically hugs each other a lot, but this is one of the best bonuses I've ever seen.

The highlight might be the Chris Penn footage. I thought it was good stuff, but it's certainly more interesting as a curiosity than it would have been in the movie.
