So I went to Ikea today, to look for a "now showing" display stand

I was trying to look for one of those DVD case holder things where you put the case of the dvd your watching on this stand and it sits next to your tv? Kind of like a "now playing" thing. I couldn't find them. I was asking everyone and they kept sending me around the store, can anyone tell me where to get them? They are wooden and only hold one case.

Thanks.

If this is what you are talking about it is an easel and they are 99 cents each.

Bingo.

There's normally a big crate or pallet filled with these and small frames.

These can also be found at Art and Craft stores (AC Moore's, Michaels).

I find them in the frame section as well. If you can't find any there you should try the model rooms. Usually they will have several for display purposes and you can "steal" them from there.

Here is another alternative:

(Click the image to go to the page it's offered from at Stargatecinema.com)

It's pricey, but everyone who drops into my family room immediately focus on it, and NOT the Maltese Falcon replica, Golden Idol Replica(from Raiders), or any of the movie posters on the wall. Its a REAL eye-catcher.

I can also vouch very positively for Stargatecinema. They have been as good as it gets for customer service.
