Least Belieavable Movie Bad Guy?

I watched DH4 last night and did not buy Olyphant as the bad guy whatsoever. Considering how menacing his Deadwood character is, that surprised me.

Who else do you consider "miscast" at the bad guy?

I always thought Dennis Hopper was miscast in "Speed" - he just doesn't strike me as a criminal mastermind. Which I guess is the point, but he still seems really out of place.

Arnold Schwarzenegger as Mr. Freeze in "Batman and Robin." Though nothing was believable in that one.

Before the accident, he was such an "ice" guy. His personality could cause people to "freeze" in their tracks.

Bennett in Commando. He was supposed to be Arnie's equal but he was a flabby australian with a porn stache and that lame chain maily vest. Let off some steam, Bennett!

I came in here to post the same thing. I caught the end of Commando the other night (the "let off some steam" part) and there's actually a moment during the final fight where Bennett screams like a little girl!

From recent memory, Ed Harris is National Treasure: Book of Secrets. Was he even necessary?

Timothy Olyphant is easily near the top of the list for me. He ruined Die Soft 4. It could've at least been a decent flick had it not been for him.

I always hated Charles Gray's Blofeld in Diamonds Are Forever. He seemed nothing like any of the previous Blofelds we'd seen(or heard).

Worst, most pointless part of that movie.

This dude was no meaner than a Bully in High School, complete miscast and to me,that is waht made Die Hard 4 awful, good action terrible villian.

you know I was thinking the exact same thing as I clicked on this thread before even reading the first post. I still thought that Live Free or Die Hard was extremely entertaining none the less.

For some reason, Sean Connery in The Avengers leaped right into my head. But that whole movie sucked...wasn't just the bad guy.

Yup.

The bad guy from Casino Royale was pretty terrible.

Personally, I've never been able to stand John Travolta as a bad guy. He just doesn't work.

Probably because most of us bought it.
