The Adventures of Baron Munchausen (Special Edition, 2 discs) 4/8/08
This is awesome kick-ass news. Something I didnt think we'd ever see. A 2-disk Set for less than $15 bucks.
OK they got this up for pre-order at Amazon....
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...d_i=1000181891
Also you can vote and choose the cover art they will be using for this new Edition.
(I picked Option 3)

I hope they're not doing something to it like they did with Erik The Viking. I'm still seething about that one.

I would love to see Commentaries With GIlliam, Idle, Sarah Polley, John Neville, Isolated Score, deleted scenes, and a feature length Documentary about the numerous problems the film was plagued with during production...I can hope...
Now he need a good SE of The Fisher King.

^I'm very glad it's not honestly. It'll be half the price and the features sound really good.
Here is what the digital Bits report are the Special Features (for the blu-ray release but besides the special java track whatever the fuc* that is well I'd assume everything else is on the reg. 2-disk DVD.)
Special features will include a BD Java "graphics and picture track," audio commentary with director Terry Gilliam & co-writer/actor Charles McKeown, The Madness and Misadventures of Munchausen 3-part documentary, 3 featurettes (As We Once Dreamed It, A Voyage to the Moon and The Baron & Bucephalos Charge the Turkish Gates) and deleted scenes.

Thrilled, but can we confirm that the commentary included is from the CC laserdisc? I think since CC struck a deal for Bottle Rocket I think both the Life of Brian and Munchausen SEs are including their tracks, which is sweet news.
One can only hope The Fisher King is right behind.

Cool! I have never seen this movie. It has been on my wishlist for a few years now... I guess I've been waiting for a special edition release. I can't wait to see it.
I love the cover art choice opportunity on amazon. I (obviously) chose #3. I was a little nervous that people would vote for the other two horrible cover arts. It looks like #3 is dominating, though. Reminds me of a Criterion-esque cover.
