(DEAD) Star Trek Motion Pictures Collection $29.99 at FYE
I was just at FYE, and they had a table in the front of the store with "Box sets up to 50% off". Most of the prices were average on things like Simpons, Angel, Prison Break, etc.
They had 4 of the Star Trek Motion Pictures Collection (with all 10 2-Disc Special Editions) box sets with sale stickers of $29.99 (with a "regular price" of $89.99).

Whoa - is this the same box set that DDD was selling for $38.88 shipped in the recent thread that generated 6 pages of replies?

The BOGO Free sale that we had for the box sets ended today, and was replaced with a majority of the titles on sale.

Glad I could be of service to a Forum that has probably cost me more than I have saved.
If I didn't already own all but 1 of the Special Editions (even if I didn't own 2 of them), I would have bought this myself.

I got one. It wasn't with the rest of the ones on sale, it was one one of the sides of rows of DVD's with the usual box sets, and still marked at $89.99. Asked a clerk to ring it up for me, and it came to $29.99. Thanks OP!

I canceled my DeepDiscount order and picked this one up. Not only a better price, but I'm sick of waiting for DD to ship mine. Who knows when the fuck it would arrive, anyways...

I called to inquire at my local Harrisburg, PA FYE, she confirmed they had 4 in store. About an hour later I arrived to get one, there were only 3. She said, after I called, she put the stickers on to mark the sale (hadn't been done prior to my call) and sold one minutes later.
I cancelled my DDD order as they kept pushing back my ship date. So basically I got 20% off on my DDD set which we weren't able to do at the time of the sale. I'm happy.

Oh well, now I just have to wait until they come out on HD-DVD and buy them all again....while I am at it, maybe I should grab some Paramount stock too?

Just picked one up at the Levittown, NY store. I saw at least one more in the aisle. They were marked regular price ($89.99), but scanned the sale price.
Thanks for the heads-up!

I was feeling sorry for myself, having already received the $38.88 set from DD. Then I did the math. There's one Minnesota FYI in Burnsville, which is a 40 mile round trip for me. $5 worth of gas, right there. MN sales tax adds $1.95. Makes it a two buck difference.

Thanks O.P. I picked up the set at the FYE in NYC. They had around ten left. Also some nice deals on some Godzilla tin sets (3 films for $13, 3 newer films for $30). I wanted to get those, but I'm broke.
I bet Paramount is clearing the Trek boxsets so they can make a new one to coincide with the new film. I wonder if they'll make slimmer cases, as this boxset is quite monsterous.
(It's also pretty sad that this FYE has one of the best past generation videogame selection around. Maybe it's because a lot are still full price.)

Well I did the math for me and with my 10% BSP discount, even adding in sales tax, I STILL paid $10 more for the one I finally got last week from DeepDiscount! Crap, that was a good deal previous to today.
