I am going to Best Buy this weekend to get Transformers, and Bourne Ultimatum though off that BOGO.

It is about time HD-DVD had a big BOGO free sale though. Lots of combo discs and lots of other stuff to choose from that they normally never have on sale.

Also I would really really really recommend avsforum.com, so you can check out the Tier levels of Picture Quality/Audio Quality of any releases (HD-DVD or Blu Ray). I tend to find a movie I like, check out the quality level based on all the votes on there and then decide to buy the movie. The reason is, it doesn't matter if you like HD-DVD or just Blu Ray, its the individual movie that the studio puts out that matters as far as quality is concerned.

I recommend trying a "missing" title - if you want it. I was wanting Backdraft & didn't see it listed earlier today on the pages. I added it to my cart plus one from the list (SII: Donner Cut) and it applied the discount for Backdraft.

So, if it's no longer on the list but still "In Stock", give it a try.

I think a major reason for that perception is that there have been all of the 1/2 off sales for BD that we haven't been getting for HDDVD...until now. Hopefully HD will catch up in sales. (But, then again, who knows what'll happen.)

I would assume its a Warner problem. The front of the case says HD-DVD, not Combo Format, but contains a combo disc.

Question re: this Amazon sale .. did anyone else have a damaged disk? My Happy Feet combo disk came yesterday, opened it up this morning and theres a large noticeable mark across the DVD.

Haven't noticed any damaged discs. Yet. I'll keep yah updated. I ordered about 18 titles from them.
