I don't get why they aren't releasing these quicker it's a popular show and I'd love to have them all.... Any news?

I really hope there's more seasons coming, but honestly I'm not feeling good about it happening. After eight months with no news of a second season I'm starting to suspect this will be another series that Warner abandons after one release.

I can't stand Drew Carey's stand up or anything else he's been in, but I'll give him credit: he knew exactly how to hire the best writers, producers, and cast members for this show. He's great in this series and the series itself is overwhelmingly laugh-out-loud funny. Even by the end of the series, when no one was watching, the show was still delivering unbelievably great lines. I knew when they announced season one that we'd probably never see season two (Dharma and Greg redux), but I still picked up the set and will pick up any more that get released.

I pretty much expected that season 2 would never come out/take a long, long time for it to be released. I bought the first season DVD anyway, fully knowing that WB releasing the rest of the series would be a long shot. Great series, that's funnier than most people think, IMO.
Hell, if one of the most popular TV shows of all-time (Cheers) can't finish its run on DVD, due to poor sales, the rest of The Drew Carey Show on DVD won't see the light of day, anytime soon.
So many series don't get completed; it's not even funny anymore. Sony is finally releasing the second season of Barney Miller, so hope is not all lost for studios to release more seasons of a show that they've "put on the shelf" for awhile.
