I would love to buy this, but I know that a super duper edition will come out 1-5 months after.

That's what I said about Intolerable cruelty...

But this was a great movie, hopefully the features will round out, this deserves a Miramax Collector's Edition, it's not like they have anything else they're making good dvds for these days.

I don't know about that. Most of the Coen film's released on DVD have been pretty bare bones for the most part with only a couple of supplemental features on the disc. I think Fargo is the most feature loaded DVD of them all, and that really doesn't have a ton of features. Even the SE of Big Lebowski, while I liked the features on it, were really slim.

The BD is MINE! Saw it twice within four days...this might end of being a reference title for the format.

However, not to threadcrap, but I am getting REALLY sick of these theatrical release-to-DVD turnarounds. Maybe it's because I'm used to a 4 1/2-5 month wait like the earlier years of DVD, it's just that this was such a fantastic movie that could take a little bit longer to resonate in theaters. As great as my new flat-screen is, I still miss the days when the theatrical experience was the best you could get (and I still think it is IMO).

Nonetheless, I'm still grabbing this the first day it's out.

Yeah, in addition to the Coens not being big SE guys, Miramax is just not a studio you see double-dipping titles left and right. How long has it taken Kill Bill to show up again?

I'm in for this on Blu-Ray. Thank you Miramax for not raping our wallets like some other studios like to do. I'm sure this will be the only release of this film for some time to come.

It was a good film, but don't think it has much replay value.

Boy, I couldn't disagree more. I think this is the type of film that will only get better with repeat viewings as you notice and appreciate subtleties you missed previously.

Paramount distributed this overseas, so here's to hoping for an HD-DVD version in the UK or elsewhere...
