Grumpy/Grumpier Old Men in Anamorphic Widescreen with 5.1 DD?
My copies of Grumpy Old Men and Grumpier Old Men are full screen and 2.0 Dolby Surround. Anyone know if there are anamorphic versions with 5.1 Dolby Digital? Of course, I would skip buying them again on DVD if I knew they were coming to a Hi Def format some time soon.

As far as I know and can see there is no anamorphic widescreen available not even with 5.1 DD. Sorry but I do agree they need to be in Widescreen as it would make them alot better.

Didnt WB say they were on track for 2008 release in WS at the last chat??
Edit: This was posted at HTF.
There’s a bit of noise on HTF RE: the double feature of GRUMPY and GRUMPIER OLD MAN that is out at retail.
They are in fact full frame…but are a ‘budget’ double feature for our mass market retailers only…in the pipeline long before our promise to deliver the titles in widescreen.
We are working on and will be releasing, just like the ACE VENTURA combos, GRUMPY and GRUMPIER in 16X9 high definition…deluxe editions with new enhanced content as well.

Not that this means anything with regard to a DVD release, but I did see Grumpier Old Men will be on HDNet Movies this month.
I would like to say that means an HD release is in store, but I have not seen any trend with HDNet Movie releases and actual releases.
