I really liked the first two movies so I'll probably pick this up.

I would suggest renting it first. It wasn't very good.

I'd actually disagree, and I really wanted to dislike the thing. I found the overall story to actually be much more engaging than the last two films. Although the action never meets the level of Blade II, Sticky Fingaz actually didn't totally suck as Blade (of course the fact that Wesley Snipes had the acting chops of a 3 year old didn't help the series).

New Line Home Entertainment has announced Blade: The Series which stars Sticky Fingaz, Jill Wagner, and Jessica Gower. The 4-disc set will include all 13 episodes of the series, and will be available to own from the 12th February. As well as extended episodes that are "too graphic for TV", the set will include audio commentaries, and a making of documentary. The recommended retail price has been set at around $39.98.
Looks like those of us who bought the pilot have to buy it again along with the rest of the episodes.

Even though the character is mostly a stone-face, I thought the new guy was better than Snipes. Probably because 12 or so epsiodes gave him a lot more screen time for acting rather than fighting like the movies.

What the--Sticky Fingaz was Blade?! I just remember him as a random dude on The Shield, that's interesting to know.

Is "Blade" coming back for a second season? The announcement from New Line made it sound like it wasn't.

I really liked this series when it aired last year. Unfortunately airing this show on Spike TV was a horrendous idea considering that network barely gets any viewers in the 1st place. Sci-Fi or USA would have been a better fit.

Sticky Fingaz really improved as Blade as the series progressed. I also really liked Jill Wagner aka Mercury Girl as the other lead.

They really did a terrible job of getting awareness out for this show. This is one show i might've actually watched if I had known more about it.

Like I said Spike TV was a horrible network to air this show. Spike is really only known for TNA wrestling and a hub for Star Trek and CSI repeats.

I saw the pilot and thought it was horrible but I keep getting told that the series gets pretty bad ass after that. But I still love the first two movies so I'm willing to give it another shot. No word on an HD/BD release?

What was that Blade DVD that came out last month or so? A 4th movie that was direct to video, or the pilot for this series maybe?

Thanks. I bought it to satisfy my completest OCD, so I imagine I'll get the series as well. Although I imagine I'll wait until it's under $10.

Yes, the complete series. I was surprised since Amazon has the msrp at 39.99.
