I've been playing 3/6 a little in a local Casino and even though I win a little money most of the time I still have nights I can't show a profit. Not counting computer or home games how often should you be able to win money. It just seems to me that the cards don't fall for me at this one place and since it's very close to my home it presents a problem I'm not talking about the cards running over me all the time but it seems hours between winning hands sometimes. I know it's part of the game but it sure gets frustrating. It's hard to win in the 3/6 game unless you really have the best hand but my only other option is 2/5 no limit and I'm a little too conservative for that right now.

You can't expect to have a winning session every time out, and with the rake and tipping it's debatable whether you should expect a majority of winning sessions at low-limit poker in a casino even if you are a good player.

In the casino, rarely. I usually go ahead, and then just get blinded down. Online, I do fairly well.

Playing holdem, I play in a 3 time weekly game and in the last session put in about $150 and took out almost $600. As for sports betting, I'm up 150% since opening my account before counting my college football bets for tomorrow.

Thanks guys for the responses and keep them coming. You're making me feel better all the time. I've been having three or four profitable nights for every bad night. I've actually just started keeping a log book and even after last night I'm doing all right. The bad nights just take longer to forget.

3-4 profitable nights for 1 bad night is pretty good, although if those profitable nights you are profiting $25 and the bad night your losing $100, then that is not good.

Honestly, I don't keep track but I know have more winning sessions than losing sessions in live play, and online I lose more than I win. I haven't played online in months. Last 3 times online, I bought in for $50 and each time I had it up to $300-$400 and then donked it off.
