Heima (At home) is a documentary and double DVD set about Sigur Rós' tour around Iceland in the summer of 2006. During this tour the band played two big open-air concerts at Miklatún - Reykjavík (30th July) and Ásbyrgi (4th August), as well as small scale concerts at Ólafsvík (24th July), Ísafjörđur (26th July), Djúpavík (27th July), Háls, Öxnadalur (28th July) and Seyđisfjörđur (3th August) and a protest concert at Snćfellsskála (3th August). The documentary also includes footage of an acoustic concert played for family and friends at Gamla Borg, a coffee shop in the small town Borg, on 22nd April 2007.
The first DVD contains the documentary, while the second DVD features full length versions of the songs.

Already pre-ordered. The edition with the book had a release date of 11/20 but now looks like it is changed to 12/04. I believe it's already available in other countries though.

Just was able to watch this. Beautifully captivating documentary about Sigur Ros and Iceland. Breathtaking cinematography that blends perfectly with the music. I'm dying to see it again. Can't wait to purchase the deluxe edition.

Where did you guys find the special editon DVD set at Amazon, I did a search & nothing comes up there as the special edition.
This is the only thing that comes up as a DVD at Amazon?

The deluxe edition is sold out & backordered at Amazon & everywhere else that I've checked. Third party sellers on Amazon already have them listed at $90 +. But I did manage to find one elsewhere last night. I put in the order & crossed my fingers. Alas, it shipped today!!

I got my deluxe edition from Amazon yesterday and watched Disc 1 (The movie) last night. Incredible! This is one I'd love to own in HD, but it looked pretty good upscaled on my HD-A2. My only complaint: the DVDs are in sleeves on either end of the enclosed photo book (very classy, BTW). I'm worried about scratches in the future.
It's a great promotional film for Iceland as well (I noticed that Icelandic Air was one of the producers). I'm ready to go!

I like many of you lost out on the Amazon Heima Deluxe pre-order. I have found a couple of places on the web with it. I have never ordered from these retailers before and therefore cannot vouch for them.
Bull Moose Records list the deluxe as in stock for 24.97. They are also hawking a copy on Amazon marketplace for 96.97 so they probably do have it.
DEAD
Good Records has it on their website for 37.99. I called yesterday and they said they had a few left.
I ordered one from both places (a little insurance policy since I don't know these retailers and if I will get the correct edition) and have now gotten shipping notices from both. This thing looks to be very limited and it's already selling for more than double its retail value on Ebay and Amazon marketplace. Indie record stores apparently fared as well or better than chain retailers at getting copies so it doesn't surprise me that relatively small retailers would have copies when the big chain stores are sold out. Hope this helps some of you. Please post if you find it anywhere else to help others. Good luck.

I'm still seeing plenty of copies of the Deluxe version on the racks at New England chain Newbury Comics. Unfortunately their online store only seems to offer the digipak version.
