Question re XBox 360 and its HD-DVD Drive...

I read somewhere recently that the best 360 model for using with the HD-DVD drive is the Elite... is that accurate? If so, why?

My sincerest thanks in advance for all input!

I don't think it makes any difference what 360 you use with it.

If anything, I'd say the Elite is the worst to use... aesthetically. I mean, it's black and the HD-DVD drive is white.

Personally with the price of stand alone HD DVD Players, I'd go that route instead of the 360 add on.

Circuit City was actually selling a Toshiba one recently for $130 (on sale).

You might have been told that due to the Elite's being the first to offer HDMI output (for video, anyway). Now, all (I think) X-Box's have HDMI out puts, so it shouldn't matter which you get.

yep I picked up the Toshiba A2 recently at Walmart for $99... and it rocks. Best part is that since I just had to send in my 360 for the infamous RROD, I can still use the Toshiba, which I would not be able to do with the 360 add on.

You made it sound like racist.

RROD = Red Ring of Death. That's when a hardware failed on 360, the green ring become red ring.

You guys rock! I really appreciate all the input! Now, here's the dumb question of the week - is the Xbox 360 Premium the same as the Xbox 360 Pro?
