Sopranos Complete Collection Released in UK?

Just saw this on the Amazon UK website:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/o/ASIN/B000U...066715-8325248

Looks like the complete collection from HBO.

Any idea if we'll see the full series in Hi-Def anytime soon (presumably on Blu-Ray given the season 6 BR-Sopranos release)?

I believe a rep for HBO stated to watch for it (complete set) next Christmas. I would be very suprised if they offered said expected complete sets not in HD or Blu-Ray. No matter what the price tag is, I will be buying.

It's just a box containing all the series releases, FYI. An all-singing, all-dancing set will presumably be released at some point.

Going by what HBO normally charges for their stuff, it will probably equal $114,980.00

Kinda pointless to waste money on parts one and two of Season 6 now if a complete HD set is coming out next year.

For that matter, I'm wondering if it's a waste of money to buy 'The Wire' 4 or 'Big Love' 2 as standard NTSC-def now, as they're surely gonna be reissued as HD at some point in the not too distant future.

For those with Region 2 capabilities, a follow-up to the above posts from 2007:

At Amazon.co.uk:

The Sopranos - Complete HBO Season 1-6 - Deluxe Edition [1999] ~ Tony Sirico, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Steven Van Zandt, and Elizabeth Bracco (DVD - 2008)
Buy new: £89.98

At the current exchange rate (much better now for U.S. customers) this should come to about $120-125 shipped.
