Recently bought into the HD DVD world with a Toshiba HD player. Been starting to buy HD discs that interest me. I knew about the Disney Blue-ray only thing, but was surprised to find this weeks Die Hard release was only going to have a Blue-ray disc (as the HD style release). I assumed (wrongly I guess) that new major releases would be on both formats. So my question is, is there a list of studios other then Disney (and I guess Fox?) that will only release Blue Ray?

The breakdown for the major studios is as follows:
Blu-ray:
Disney
Fox
Warner Bros.
Sony
HD DVD:
Universal
Paramount
Warner Bros.
Currently WB and its subsidiary companies such as New Line and HBO are the only ones releasing on both formats. The others are exclusive.

Also, the Weinstein Company is nominally HD DVD, but they seem to have decided on a "wait and see" stance of late.

Fox also releases MGM stuff, so whatever MGM stuff that is left is Blu-Ray, as well as Lionsgate. Neither have much in the way of "big" titles, but there will be an occasional title from those studios.

Dreamworks is HD DVD exclusive as well.

Let's not forget that Spielberg's Dreamworks and Universal titles are excluded from HD-DVD because he has supports Blu-Ray.

No, that is not correct. Spielberg's Dreamworks titles can come out on HD DVD, but he also wants them out on Blu-ray as well. Universal has not announced any Spielberg movies yet, but when they do, unless he starts throwing serious weight around, they will not be on Blu-ray. Don't distort facts.
