Bionic Woman 11/14/07

Sometimes Jaime is still too blase about the whole thing, but in the end, her naivete earns her a lesson in the human cost of being an operative in the cold, hard world of the spy game.

Some of the writing and humor is getting there, but there's still plenty of room for improvement in terms of pacing and balancing Jaime's personal and professional life.

I enjoyed tonight's ep as usual. But while watching this ep I was thinking that I was sick and tired of the "is this the week Pope(Washington) fucks over Jamie? Ahhhh, we're just kidding!" storyline. It's like every week we're teased with this possible betrayal then it turns out to be nothing. I guess I won't have to worry 'bout that'n anymore....

Yeah Curtis Manning! I had suspiscions on and off about Dr. Burke.....excuse me Antonio being a mole since he was 1st brought on, but I guess he wasn't after all.

I liked tonight's episode. I wonder if this was one of the episodes that Jason Katims from FNL supervised. I think the show is gradually finding it's identity now. I'm actually starting to really like the supporting cast, mainly Tom and Jaime's little sis. Why is Molly Price a regular on this show? It's just too bad that the season started out so roughly that they will only manage to get 9 episodes in the can.

Only 2 episodes left....

Bionic Woman - > Alias

Jamie -> Sydney (Hot ass-kicking chick)
Tom -> Vaughn (CIA, good looking, right down to the similar hair style)
Nathan -> Marshall (Goofy tech guy)
Jonas -> Sloane/Spydaddy (kinda a jerk like Sloane, protective like Jack)
Antonio Pope - > Marcus (Black partner. Marcus obviously lasts longer..)

Just sayin!

There's also the BtVS parallels, with the Sarah/Jaime relationship being similar to the Faith/Buffy one, and the whole thing of being given superpowers and the responsibility that goes along with them, without having any choice in the matter.

Yeah, that is obvious. All they hae to do is throw in some catchy trance tune whenever Jaimie goes undercover. I was really surprised about what happened to Antonio, I liked his character. Oh well.

This show needs more Katee Sackhoff, less sappy love story.

Boy, who did Isiah Washington insult on this show? This show is obviously showing it's backstage chaos on screen.

Still, that's two shows in a row for him where he's been shot...time to head to 24!

It's Washington's punishment for his Grey's Anatomy fuck ups. It was declared from "up high" in Hollywood that he'll shall forever play characters that get screwed.

He's been in the credits from the start as "special guest star" so I didn't expect him to last too long.

We're all waiting for Lindsay Wagner to make a cameo and try to sell Jamie a Sleep Number bed.

Anyone else get the feeling that in a few months we're gonna see this on DVD as "Bionic Woman : The Complete Series"?

There's no doubt about it. This show is pretty much toast. It's ratings are awful.

You forgot the dead fiance from the pilot -- but Jamie got over him even faster than Sydney did hers.

After all the scenes in this episode featuring Jamie driving really fast, I wondered if they also gave her a Bionic car.

If episodes 8 and 9 stay in the 6M+ viewer range or even drops, then I think this show is toast. I doubt NBC will spend anymore money to complete episodes 10-13 let alone a full season.

But honestly, what do they have in the wings to replace it with? Nada. Medium can't fill this slot AND Life's AND Journeyman's.

Maybe she is Fred Flinstoning it using her bionic legs.

With the show reaching less viewers than Journeyman, it might be time to bring on Big Foot.

Or maybe Tom could get into an accident and become the Six Billion Dollar Man.

BTW
Did this show ever explain why Berkut only seemed to be interested in women candidates?

I disagree. Bionic Woman is just a remake of the original show. That precedes Alias, doesn't it?

Or maybe this Bionic Woman is nothing like the original. I keep missing it every time its on.
