Buying a record player (turntable) - Advice?
I know nothing about record players, or records for that matter. HOWEVER, I will be buying one as a christmas present, along with some speakers. Anyone have any suggestions? I was looking at the ones listed on the Best Buy website and on Amazon, but I know nothing about record players.
Some said they didn't play 78rpms (I don't know what that means, is that bad?), and some were just too expensive. I'm looking for something in the $70-$130 range. Any suggestions?
I don't need anything state of the art, but as long as it plays records and sounds good, then I'll be happy giving this as a gift.
