Serj Tankian. Why is he so popular? (aka WTF?)
Okay, admittedly his first song wasn't all that bad. The radio stations are now pumping his new "antidepressant" song. IMO, this is the most gawd awful song I've ever heard. Somebody please defend it for me.....because I just don't get it. Maybe, I'm just getting old. But then again I like the new songs by 3 Days Grace, Rise Against, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, and Sour Stone.

He is also the lead singer of system of a down, and some of their stuff is def not for everyone. If you think this one's wierd or not your cup of tea, don't even try the album system tracks (for the hell of it, download "vicinity of obsenity" or "she's like heroin" from Hypnotize, and get back with us.) This one is actually quite tame. And yes I like that song, and the entire album is solid.
I also found it amusing that their isn't a parental advisory sticker on it, even though "empty walls has a few f bombs and there is a song called "Beethovan's ****"

One thing he definitely has going for him and that is a recognizable singing/shouting voice. That being said his singing/shouting is not for everyone.
BTW "Vicinity of Obsenity" has one of the catchiest choruses ever.

Kidding. But seriously. I think the guy has a very unique voice and he's extremely energetic and active on stage, which helps to make SOAD concerts great to watch. I'll admit that he can get annoying at times even to a fan like me, so I can only imagine how a non-fan might hear him. Much like anything else: either you like him or you don't.

I'm only a (very) casual System Of A Down fan, but my friend made me a copy of this
album to check it out. Surprisingly I can't put it down yet.. I think it’s a very solid album.
I can understand if it’s not for everybody though.

SOAD's stuff is hit or miss to me. I like Serj's singing voice when he's singing, his screaming tends to get on my nerves pretty quick. I like the more melodic stuff. I have to be in a certain mood to listen to them. I also like their guitar player's voice when he sings.
