Hi guys,

I'm interested in upgrading something. I can't decide what and I kinda dread having to calibrate everything again. But I have an itch to upgrade that I just can't shake.

I kinda want to upgrade my projector from HD70 to a Sanyo PLV Z2000.
I'd primarily be using this for BluRay and HD DVD and Xbox 360.
If I did that I'd move my HD70 into my outdoor projection rig and try to sell my Optoma DV10.

I also am considering upgrading my EZ Cinema 80" pull up screen to another pull up screen with a scissor lift mechanism, to make closing it simpler, and if I can find the right screen, get a little gain out of it. I'd be more likely to close the screen thus opening my apartment up more. Right now my screen basically acts as a room divider in my studio apartment because I leave it up 24/7 because it is a pain to lock the telescoping rod to the right location when i close and open it.

I was considering upgrading my Denon 1802 receiver to an Onkyo SR705. Primarily for the lossless PCM inputs modes from my blu and hd dvd players. This I'd have to stop using my 360 for hd dvd though and use one of my other hd dvd players to benefit the sound.

All of these need me to recalibrate all my devices, but I'm probably gonna be busy with holidays over the next few months so I don't know if thats something I want to attack.

I'm just being indecisive blahhh.

I'd say go with the PLV Z2000 first.

Is the Denon an HDMI receiver?

All that video goodness....and cheap audio. Seems kinda sad.

What's wrong with the HD70? Sure that's what needs upgrading?

Nothing in particular wrong with the HD70, just entranced by the low price of a 1080p projector. And it gives me a reason to move the HD70 to takeover the outside projection responsibilities at my parents house.

Yeah, the audio is fairly sad. I just don't feel like I can truly benefit from any upgrades in audio in my apartment though. It's a studio with concrete walls. Got any suggestions for audio improvements? I do have a pair of Sennheiser HD595's that I use occasionally. They souhnd good to me.

Well, you didn't mention your speakers. Almost everybody could stand to upgrade speakers. I know I could.
