Got a PSP and my PS3 should be here tomorrow. Is there anything cool I can do linking the 2 with content or a game?

Sorry I should've been more clear. I've had the PSP for a long time now. The PS3 is brand new. I was under the impression that you could use the 2 together and there was content you could download on the ps3 and then transfer to the PSP or something.

Yes, you can buy old PS1 games and play them on both systems. Once you get the PS3 online you can go to the PlayStation store. I think they cost $5-$10 IIRC.

Yeah, there are several games playable on both systems. Most (Twisted Metal 2, Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, Syphon Filter, Rally Cross) are $5.99. Castlevania SotN is $9.99 (matching its price on XBLA).
Also there is a remote play feature allowing you to stream video and audio content off the PS3 onto the PSP. It would be awesome if you could record video like a TIVO and play it on the PSP, but that's not possible yet. You can watch dl'ed trailers and the like, but your PS3 has to be on and in Remote Play mode.

With the new PS3 firmware you can use your PSP to turn on the PS3 system. Wireless remote control, what will Sony think of next?

Umm sit tight and wait for some good games
For what it's worth, the PS3 is a fantastic BR player. Hopefully you have an HD display to enjoy it on.
