Bring "Massacre Mafia Style" to DVD! Sign the Petition Now!

Come on, everyone, please sign it. Let's get the word out, goomba, so we can all eat our lasagna next year, when this wild baby turns 30, and savor the glory of the late, great Duke Mitchell. Even the trailer is without equal. The man who currently owns the rights to the film, Mitchell's son, eagerly wants to find a good home for his dear papa's baby. Blue Underground? Synapse? Dark Sky? Anchor Bay? Let them hear your voice. Let's start this campaign to bring this winner to dvd.

Please sign the petition:

they do. Sage Stallone apparently has been looking for better elements.

Has anyone actually seen the actual film? It was known as "The Executioner" on VHS. The trailer is the best thing about it. The movie pretty much sucks. It's an endurance test, even in the bad-movie cult film way.

Sage Stallone and Grindhouse DO NOT own one shred of "Massacre" (which rocks). They own "Gone With the Pope," that's all. The sole owner of the rights is the late director's son, a friend of mine.

So does the "sole" owner of this film has the negatives? I recall Sage and Murowski implying there are no print elements left of this film on various boards, so they are in search of one. Also isn't the film OLDER than 1978? Therefore it missed the 30th Anniversary anyway.

Like Mann*Machine said, if you've seen the trailer, you've seen the movie. Rather we should hound Grindhouse on putting out TOUGH ONES or PIECES!

thats good to hear, but it seems that Stallone was under the assumption that he owned it, as in the past few years he has been seeking out the elements, as another poster also mentioned...so your friend may want to place a call into that camp, as they may could help each other out.

I'd also be interested to know if your friend has the original elements.

Yes, as I recall Stallone implied they did not locate any film elements. And that could be why most cult labels was not interested in the title as I recall many of them will not license a title if there are no film elements, especially negative elements, exists. So if this is the case, then no offense, but this petition is useless as the ones you mentioned will most likely not license it.

However, if your friend does have film elements, then yes, like Cameron stated, please contact Stallone, or any of the other labels ASAP, as this could be great news for the fans of the film.

also worth noting. multiple websites like imdb and wiki list the distribution rights with Grindhouse releasing. Not sure what claims your friend has, or thinks he has, but sounds like he really should get in contact with Stallone.

So Massacre, Mafia Style is the director's cut of The Executioner? Wow, saw it on VHS and it was a brutal yet campy treat The disc looks like it will be sick, and I'll be looking for it!
