Looney Tunes, Flintstones Mega Box Sets at Costco
Didn't see anyone post this yet, but it looks like Costco is starting to stock its Christmas DVD box sets. The store in Glendale, California, had a box with all the Flintstones DVD season sets along with a Fred Flintstone bobble-head for $129.99, and a box with all the Looney Tunes Golden Collections released so far along with a set of lapel pins of Looney Tunes characters for $149.99. (Didn't note which characters, but I think it was the major ones.) Hope this helps someone.

Did you happen to notice if they sold any of the older Looney Tunes sets separately as well?
If volumes 1-5 are together $149, that's as good of a price you'll see (though I remember last year seeing some of the Looney Tune sets going for $27.88 apiece by me).

The Costco near me also put out the Complete Seinfeld series early. Price is $179.99.
Not nearly as good as the B&N deal but Costco will have the compete

This bundling mentality at places like Costco has gotten out of hand when they have a $149 Looney Tunes set that includes the latest Golden Collection, volume 5, on its release date, but NOT the individual volume 5.
While I'm pretty certain we'll see the individual release at Costco at some point, (probably for a nice low price, to boot) it sucks that it's not there (outside of the $149 set) on its street date.

If it is the Spotlight Collection, it is not a good deal.

The five sets are $30 each for a total of $150. Those most interested in this, like me, already have the earlier sets so no bargain for me, but if you love these cartoons and somehow haven't bought any of the sets yet, this is a good deal. In the past when a new set came out, the old sets would be priced cheaply. Not so this time at least not yet.
Corrected previous error.

I passed on X-Files. Maybe next time if its still there. I ended up with Looney Tunes instead. I couldn't decide if I should get X-Files now or wait for the 2nd movie. I am not in a rush to get it.

I was waiting on a complete collection of Looney Toons set. Is this the complete collection or is this just the collections so far? How many sets will be released until they are completely done?
Also, I wonder if an HD set may be done in the future since HD editions are available for download thru Xbox Live Marketplace.

WB has not stated how many Looney Tunes volumes there will be.
There were (without exaggerating) over 1000 Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies cartoons, and each Golden Collection has 60 shorts.
I don't think they will put them all out, but they will probably do at least another 5-10 sets.
