For those who did not recieve two free HD-DVDs with Xbox 360 HD Addon Purchase at BB

I'm sure everyone remembers the promotion Best Buy had last week for the Xbox 360 Addon. Well, the sales associates at the Best Buy where I purchased the HD-DVD Drive with Heroes denied me two free HD-DVDs. I just got off the phone with customer relations . If you have your receipt handy and tell them that you were denied they will mail you a Best Buy gift certificate. I didn't even have to yell or anything.

I didn't participate in this deal (I tried to, but my stores were sold out of Heroes by Tuesday!) However, I am curious about the amount of the gift card Best Buy is sending you. Since most here were able to legitimately choose 2 dvds of $34.99 or less (and later in the week, substantially more), did BB offer you a $70 gift card?

buy.com is doing the same thing, without the 2 extra, but it's cheaper and you can use the google checkout discount

That's amazing! I think you got the better deal- congrats!

Mr. Peepers- Thanks for the tip. I have some BB gift cards burning a hole in my pocket, and have already used the google coupon to the best of my ability. But, I thank you all the same!

And, bump for anyone else that might be able to take advantage of this suggestion.
